A: Gogo C1 serves as a form-fit replacement for legacy ATG systems (ATG 1000, 2000, 4000, or 5000), preparing you for LTE transition. The Gogo C1 allows you to maintain connectivity through network transition with minimal downtime and changes to your existing installation.

Q: Why is Gogo C1 needed?

A: Gogo C1 is the easiest and fastest way to replace your legacy ATG system. It also keeps you on the path to AVANCE as it gives you more time to get your upgrade scheduled and completed. If you upgrade to AVANCE before the end of 2028, Gogo is offering a $35K buy back promotion upon installation and activation.

Q: Is Gogo C1 an AVANCE system?

A: No, the Gogo C1 is not an AVANCE system.

Q: When will the Gogo C1 be available?

A: Gogo C1 will be certified and PMA’d in November 2024 with full system interchangeability available in January 2025. Boxes may be available sooner based on customers’ configuration.

Q: What Gogo systems are compatible with Gogo C1?

A: The same systems that were compatible with your legacy ATG system will be compatible with Gogo C1.

Q: How many Ethernet Ports are available on Gogo C1?

A: There are 3 Ethernet Ports available on Gogo C1.

Q: What is the performance of Gogo C1?

A: The Gogo C1 will have similar performance as a legacy ATG system today, with no performance boost due to the LTE network transition.

Q: What is the internet browsing experience for Gogo C1?

A: The internet browsing experience will be the same as your legacy ATG system.

Q: What is the difference between a legacy ATG system and the Gogo C1?

A: The main difference is that the Gogo C1 will continue to operate on the Gogo Biz Licensed Network after the LTE transition in 2026.

A: Connectivity starts at 10,000ft AGL.

4. AVANCE users benefit from over-the-air (OTA) software updates (not through USBs or manual download)

Q: Can the $35k buy back promotion be combined with future AVANCE promotions?

A: No, you cannot combine the $35k buy back promotion with future AVANCE promotions.

Q: Can a Gogo Galileo antenna (HDX or FDX) be added to the Gogo C1?

A: No, the Gogo Galileo antennas are not compatible with Gogo C1. You need an AVANCE system onboard to get Gogo Galileo.

Q: If I buy a plane with a Gogo C1 installed and I want to upgrade to AVANCE prior to 2028, am I still eligible for the $35k buy back promotion?

A: Yes, you are still eligible for the $35k buy back promotion as it is tied to the Gogo C1 for that aircraft, not the original purchaser.

Q: Will Gogo C1 be available for new installs?
